Mary Oliver’s question, the end of a beautiful poem, haunts me, “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Variations of that inquiry are daily presented to me: “what college are you going to?” or “what do you want to major in?” or the ever popular “what do you want to be when you grow up?” I always freeze at the first two and play the last one off as a joke by responding, “an adult, hopefully.”
Is college worth the cost? College would be worth the cost or not, maybe because you need to find a better job or need more money. Also getting great benefits for your life and aso a healthful life for yourself and others. I would get paid twice as much if I go to college. In the article “College Is Worth the Cost,” Brooks C. In the world we live in today. Going to college is no longer a choice, or privilege, but rather a need for a brighter future . So the big question that happens to be going around is, “Is College really worth it?”According to Andrew J. Rotherham’s article “Actually, college is very much worth it.”, “5 Ways Ed Pays”produced by (The College board), and “Why College Isn't (And Shouldn’t have to be) For Everyone” written by Robert Reich. The answer to that question is yes.
Is College worth It Should you go to college ? Here 's some reasons why you should. Each year there are thousands of students enrolling into college hoping they will get in to study and learn about their dream job. Many colleges have been around for decades.
Some people in elementary school knew they wanted to be doctors. Classmates of mine in middle school expressed their desires to become teachers. And yet for freshman year me, I had no idea what my future would hold—and I was terrified. I had done decently academically, managed to swim without drowning, and could muster a couple songs on the violin. But in a larger sense, it often felt like I was going through the motions, living another day just to do so.
Why do I want to attend college? College is an honorary achievement and it separates the determined from the undetermined. Owning a college to degree is an honor and an ecstatic feeling. Through college, that job is that much closer in the grasp. Through college, a person can perform at an elite level and really push themselves for greatness.
Doing what I love and being able to support myself and loved ones is important to me. I am a very independent person and I like to do things my way. I like to set individual goals everyday, whether that means doing my homework before a certain time, or completing something for the week. They help me get my work done on time and efficiently.

The factors that are influencing my decision to go to college are getting paid more money, learning more about what I want to do in the future, because not everyone in my family had the opportunity to go to college and I don't want to waste my chance, or simply because everyone expects me to go to college. One thing that can influence a person's decision to go to college is getting paid more money.
College is the place where you start to find yourself. I have already started finding myself; it is a very scary feeling, but it is very rewarding at the same time. Looking at how others view college, or from what I gathered from the people I interviewed, it is supposed to be a time that find yourself and grow as a human; that’s exactly what I have found out. I am meeting people that I can already tell are going to be friends for the rest of my life. Somethings that the people I interviewed also said that it is a place that takes a lot of hard work and dedication, from what I have had for a work load I know that is true.
Picking to attend a Community college for me is the best choice that I picked for my education. Community colleges provide a great service to students in many more ways other than just education. They help students who are unsure what they want to do or are unable to attend a four year university. Community Colleges also provide continuing education even after they have gotten a degree and a job.
Attending college wasn’t an obligation of mine but a choice that I took. My reasons are probably just like everyone else’s at my age. I wanted a better life for myself in the future that didn’t involve living paycheck by paycheck. Obtaining a college degree has such a strong influence on one’s life. College has been a dream of mine since I was little.
The question my mom would always ask me is,”What do you want to be when you grow up.” I really never have an answer to that kind of question. I always think do I want to be a special agent or a NFL player. But instead I chose a random career, but I did use to like the career. The career I had chosen to be when I get out school is to be a carpenter because I liked this job since I was little, and to earn a good living in my future.
Special Who am I? This is question that I am often asked by adults and my friends. I don 't ever know what to say because it’s a question that in my opinion has no real answer. Think about it -- aren 't we supposed to figure out who we are, and who we want to be, after college once we start working? But in the modern day and age that just seems like a pipe dream.
Your Thinking Affects Your Finances, and Your Life Not only are proactively positive thoughts important to acquiring your success, but your success cannot exist without them. Consider Webster's definition of success: 'a desired or favorable outcome'. All outcomes are determined by actions, actions require decisions to act, and decisions are merely decisive thoughts. Therefore, it is easy to conclude that the thoughts that dominate your mind will dictate the actions you take, and the results you generate. Your mind never stops forming tomorrow's reality.
A college education is very important for me to obtain the career I want. College will provide me the knowledge and practice I need to be successful. Going to college will help me get accustomed to the pressure of the real world and will give me the opportunity to become independent. Graduating college is my number one goal in life. It would be an awarding payoff for all the hard work and dedication to my studies throughout high school.
