Why I Chose To Go Back To School

I decided to go back to get my master’s degree and take the generalist track because I am not sure what I want to do further on in my career, but I decided that it was a good time to go back to school. I believe that the immediate challenge that I face in the master’s degree program is time management. I had been out of school for a little over a year and I had to get used to doing homework and managing my time better. After a couple of weeks in the program time management became easier, I found that it was helpful to use a calendar and make to do lists. A big part of being a flight nurse is educating the public on how the medical helicopter works and the job description of the flight team. Having a master’s degree will help me further on in my career and with my end foal of being a flight nurse. I believe that I will go back after completing my master’s degree and get a certificate in education. I enjoy being out in the community and educating the population. In order to be on the medical helicopter I will need to get some other certifications. The first certification I am looking into getting is to become a certified emergency room nurse, this certification recommends the nurse be an emergency room nurse for about two years. I will apply to get this certification in a couple of years, once I have more experience in the emergency room. At the facility I am currently working at the education department for the emergency room is just two nurses that work full time hours. After I get my master’s degree I want to get more involved in the education in the emergency room and help out the two nurses that are currently in charge of the emergency room’s education. I look forward to learning all that I can during my master’s program and then going out and educating the staff in the emergency room and the
