Why I Deserve To Go To English Honor

I believe that I deserve to go to English Honors in 9th grade, as I feel that taking this path will be best for my advancement in this subject as well as the betterment of my classroom environment. I believe that I would immensely benefit from taking part in an honors class in my freshman year of high school. Being part of an honors class would allow me to reach my entire potential in the subject, as I would be surrounded by other motivated, similarly-minded people who would bring out the best in me. I believe that I have shown consistent endeavors to make myself better in all areas of academics through the work that I put in, so going to an honors class would help me to build on all that I have learned this year. Pushing myself to do my very best in a class would be better for me, so I believe that the work I would do in ELA Honors is the best path for me to take. I believe that Honors ELA would not only benefit me in my personal growth as a student but also help me contribute towards the growth of the class as a whole. I think that my peers would gain a better understanding of the literature that is being studied through my input in collaborative work such as group discussions. I often participate in my group when work is being done, and I make good points to help myself and my group better understand what we are studying. Therefore, my classmates would gain more clarity when it came to books and other literature if I was in their group. My peers would also gain more knowledge of what they were studying through my answers to questions. I answered some questions in the Fahrenheit 451 discussion area, where we could post questions. Therefore, my classmates would gain more knowledge on the study topic because I could answer various questions they had.
