The reason I want to attend the BEAR partnership 2018 summer program is because it’s a great opportunity for me to learn more about the university and how it will feel to study there, this chance means an opportunity to meet and communicate with others and MSU is the university I plan to attend!

And I would love to share them with you. I have a passion for helping kids and I would want to make a difference in their lives, as other teachers have made in mine. When I first arrived in the United States, I didn’t really know how to read, I also had a few challenges with adapting to American English. I have been studying really hard, and reading and speaking weren’t easy for me. Two years after working hard I can finally communicate more easily with my peers. I don’t want other learners struggling like I had to. When I was growing up I didn’t get the help that I needed for school. And now that I have it, I want to pass it on to other kids. I just don’t want anyone to go down that same path, I want learners to have every advantage. I want them to have everything they need for the future, and my initial path was not a good path. I will never give up on them because if I can do it that means they can do it, too. The same way I am making my parents proud, I want my future students to make their parents proud, too. After getting help from my ELL teacher, family members, peers and other teachers, that’s when I finally decided that I wanted to become an elementary teacher/an Ell teacher.
