Hailing from an entrepreneurial background, my passion for business sparked as I watched my family deal with business transactions. The constant change in today’s world is what gets me going and that’s what makes business interesting for me. Businesses cannot remain the same in today’s fast-growing economy, because it would fail to compete. I decided to explore my interests by choosing to do a “Business World” course in Cornell University. This past summer, I enrolled in AEM (120) Introduction to Business Management in the Dyson School of applied economics. Although, the course work was some of the toughest I have ever experienced, I loved every part of it. The Dyson School is a highly regarded in applying practical, applied economics and management to solve the world's most complex business and social issues. It has also been the springboard of a wide array of innovative programs that puts Cornell's research at the forefront of the most important global challenges of today. I am also looking forward to meeting the Dyson alumni, who with their vast experience in the field of business will be able to help me develop well-rounded views on ambivalent issues through Cornell’s guest speaker series. I would also be able to gain invaluable experience if I received the opportunity to work under philanthropists such as Warren Buffet and Chuck Feeney. A major aspect of breaking into a career on Wall Street is having connections to top ranked employees at their respective companies, which the University boasts a large amount of. The Dyson Undergraduate Program Advisory council will be of invaluable help to undergraduates like me who hope to make it big in the world. Knowing that many past students take time to ensure the immense prestige of the school is maintained for the future gives me confidence that my dream of working on Wall Street is
