Indiana houses Purdue University, known for its highly competitive STEM programs and is treated with the same respect as an Ivy League School. On the other hand, Indiana University and Ball State University are among the best teaching schools in the nation. Marian University is currently implementing a new program in order to create better, more effective teachers. These are just a few examples of how Indiana education is constantly evolving and growing, making it a primary location for new teachers. These new teachers will effectively teach Indiana students through their level of challenge, passion, and dedication. Indiana is the perfect place to study a degree in education. According to the U.S. News, Indiana is ranked 11th nationally in Preschool to 12th grade education. Rarick. She was tough, yet she challenged her students which helped prepare them for high school. I believe that teachers should push their students to achieve their greatest potential. Not only must they challenge their students, but they must be dedicated to serving them. I cannot count how many times I have heard teachers say, “Remember, I am always here after school to walk you through anything you need.” This environment is the same attitude I hope to have in my own classroom. Additionally, a teacher must be passionate about the subject they teach. If the instructor is not excited about the material, how can the kids be expected to enjoy class?
