When I migrated to the United States, I found this country a land of opportunity where I can avail many opportunities, pursuing the study is one of them. The decision to return to school never easy for me, especially when you have been out of the school for a while. However, I decided to continue my studies and go back to the classroom after a pretty extended period, this time I am not a typical 18 years old student, but a person who has more life experiences, well disciplined, and well organized than a non-traditional student. Also, a street-smart person who learned a lot form the ups and downs of the life and finally decided to complete the degree and move on towards a career.

This semester, I am taking the BIS and English core classes, although I am a housewife, mother of three kids, and almost full time (10 credits) student, my self-confidence assures me to pass all classes with good grades. I have been a pretty good student entire my academic years, always get honor roll, for instance, scholarships, dean’s list, presidential award, and summa cum laude award. My strengths put me on track to achieve my goals with arduous effort; my passion for seeking knowledge makes me a studious person. As well my weakness put me behind, as I do not like to procrastinate my academic responsibilities, but sometimes family obligations and some other issues hinder to perform these tasks in timely manners. The college education means to me a lot, such as to acquire knowledge, enhance discipline, and avail internships.
