I want to go to GRCC, because of the opprotunities the tuition incentive program provides and because it's close. I want to stay in close proximity of home, because of my community. I am very involved in the Burmese community and I want to help the community improve, to put the generations after me in a position to succeed. At GRCC I would want to pursue either a major in business or journalism. I right now am actually in a dual enrollment business management class from Davenport right now. I love the innovation and creativity you have to bring to be involved in business. I enjoy the interpersonal communication and relationships and just connecting with people overall that is involved with business. That is the American dream. If I go into journalism it's more a selfish reason, but something I'm fiercely passionate about which is sports. I analyze and study sports with any spare time I have so going into sports journalism would be a dream job. I have a passion for writing as well, I've always enjoyed and excelled at writing and english more than other subjects in school. By going into this field it wouldn't just be a job, but something I look forward to every morning when I wake up. My goal in each of these fields is to be the best I can potentially be and help other people. None of us live forever, but we can touch other people's lives that way our values continue on. I plan to finance college through various programs like the tuition incentive program, scholarships, and money I and my family has saved.
