In the late 1800s there was a big gold rush. 100,000 people travelled miles to get to that gold. First they rode a train then walked. The people that went looking for gold were just normal ordinary people. Only 30,000 people ended up traveling. Everyone either turned around back home or died. It was normally -20 degrees.People wanted to get rich. Peoples skin got as cold as ice. It was in the klondike. People went looking for gold. If you had a chance would you go to the klondike? I personally would not want to go to the klondike because it is very cold and you have to travel a long way. There was also a chance that you could not get any gold and you could be going there for no reason. You would also be in very unhealthy conditions. People 's body temperatures drop and you don 't have a good diet. Some people didn 't even eat and the they weren 't healthy enough to fight off a sickness or …show more content…

This is why I would not go to the klondike. I would never travel to the klondike, I think it would a painful death if you died. Many people were dying to be rich literally! I would rather stay poor then die. You would have to care for your dog sled and if they would get frostbite you would have to walk and it would take even longer. You would have to be strong and brave to go. So, in conclusion I would never travel to the klondike beacuse of the reasons I told
