There are numerous diverse qualities about myself that would make me an invaluable contribution to the University of Maryland. One major aspect concerning my individuality is my absolute adoration for Atmospheric Science. Since the age of five, I have unquestionably appreciated Meteorology. It may sound anomalous; however, I have always been enthralled by catastrophic natural disasters such as tornadoes, earthquakes and hurricanes. Every opportunity that I possess to explain and express this indescribable love for these weather phenomenon I seize it enthusiastically. I purely relish the science of weather and educating others. Each and every science research paper I have completed thus far through high school has consisted of cataclysmic natural disasters. Furthermore, to learn more about my field, I indulge into numerous documentaries and novels. Also, as a homeschooler, I am able to participate in courses that are not offered in ordinary school curriculums. I believe that the understanding of STEM and as well as art are imperative for a sagacious student. Specifically, I am greatly intrigued by African and Asian artworks, and these continents’ extensive and bountiful cultures. As a Teen Ambassador for the Smithsonian’s Museum of African Art I have had the privilege and the fortuity to work with curators and conduct tours on the Conversation Exhibit, which holds several artworks by both African and African Americans artists that I cherish. My sincere appreciation for African art and culture is without a doubt a result of my own
