An abortions is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, where an infant has not been given the chance to be born. In 2014, 652,639 legal induced abortions were reported to CDC from 49 reporting areas. Even though this number is significantly large this is the all time low for abortions in the United States. Abortion clinics have been closing due to abortion rates going down and vice versa. A problem in the U.S. is how accepted it is to have sex with anyone at any time. As a result of sex being so socially accepted more unplanned pregnancies happen each year in the United States. These infants are created in the image of God and are not given the chance to live. Every unborn child should be given the chance to live their life and not have it ended before it happens. Since abortion rates are so high, it is clear to see that having an abortion is common and socially accepted in the United States. One reason it is socially accepted in the United States is because of how many abortion clinics there are in the United States. Since abortion clinics are so common in the U.S. it makes people think that it's fine to have an abortion. In 2008, 851 clinics provide abortions across the US. By 2014, the number had dropped to 788, a 7% decrease. As years go on, it is becoming harder and harder to find abortion clinics in the United States. The abortion rates have been falling dramatically due to abortion clinics closing. The thousands of women who go in for an abortion each year are putting themselves at risk. Abortions can also put the women who is in the procedures health at risk. The women can also get post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, low self-esteem, or anxiety. It can also lead the woman into abusing drug, tobacco, or alcohol use. Even though the chances of these things happening to the woman are very low, it is still a danger of abortion.
