Chevys are very reliable vehicles. As bush stated, his truck has rolled over a million miles on the stock motor.Chevys have strong built motors, hey are built to last, and with proper maintenance will last a lifetime. Chevy Motors are built strong and are advancing for longer lives. I believe that they are one of the strongest built motors and are only getting better. The small block was The first Small block appeared in 1955 when general motors developed the engine for the corvette.(fullen) A more advanced version of this motor is still in production today. The Gen 3 LS Block has a Y block that increases rigidity in the main cap area.(Cleveland) This makes the motor much stronger for years of use.
