Everything in life has good and bad qualities, this is the point Friar Lawrence made in Act 2 Scene 3, and I believe that this is applicable, not only to modern society, but within literature as well. An example of this within Romeo and Juliet is their love and deep emotions. For the good qualities of it, they are truly in love and happy because of it. But the ‘evil’ quality, is not only that it causes the two to make irrational or impulsive choices, but will eventually lead to their death. But this was also demonstrated within the Oddessey, with the character Odysseus. When Odysseus returned from his journey, many of his actions were considered to prove his love or his loyalty to his wife. A positive action he took was protecting his wife
