Gangs, they are a developing problem in the world and one of the leading factors for growth of violence. Why? Well, gangs are awfully known for crimes and many forms of violence and sadly gangs generally live up to their notoriety. Second, whether it is the gang member themselves or innocent people who are unfortunately involved, the sad case is that gangs eradicate countless lives. Fact is, that more and more people are turning to gangs to solve any personal complications, but the majority of them have no knowledge of what the negative outcomes will be. Lastly, gangs, specifically street gangs give off such unhealthy influence to our youth. Since a majority of our youth believes that gangs are such great organizations, they choose to join them which lead them to horrible situations involving crimes. I believe the reason for that is because a gangs purpose or main intentions are usually to break the law which could lead to a gang member behind bars or in a more serious circumstance, dead. Gangs pose a serious threat to our society due to everything they’re usually involved in. In almost all cases gangs are involved there is countless murders, fights, rape, drug use and vandalism, this is purely because they do whatever they want, when they want and how they want. There is nothing stopping them from accomplishing what they desire, they believe that the law is of no use when they do not benefit from it. To gang members they see people as obstacles to their “missions”. In some cases their “obstacles” are either severely injured or dead. Nothing appeases them better than to pull a thread over everyone’s eye, especially law enforcers. Above all, it is evident that gangs will lead to nothing positive, they will only lead to negative
