Through out the long history of literature there have been many great authors and plays. Some are more popular then others and it can be argued that Shakespeare is the best and the most famous author the world has ever known. What made him stand out though? If there were one play that stood out from all the others, what would it be? If there were a vote on this, there would be a large possibility that the play Hamlet would win. Hamlet was the one of the most memorable plays of all time. Hamlet is a young man who is seeking justice for his father who was killed by Uncle. Some people in today’s society cannot relate to Hamlet and even though there might be a couple things here and there, but overall hamlet is closely comparable to young people today. Shakespeare was on born April 23, 1564 in Stratford, England. At the age of 22 he left Stratford for London, England so he could pursue his dream in playwriting. In 1595, 9 years after moving to England, he became an official playwright for the king of England. Around the year 1600, Shakespeare wrights his best play ever, The Hamlet. The idea from this play came from a older writer named Saxo Grammaticus. In the story a prince sees his dad killed by his uncle and then pretends to be crazy to gain his uncle trust. Many years later when the prince is old enough he kills his uncle with his father’s sword. This story is very similar to Shakespeare’s story but with some key differences that will be seen later. William Shakespeare later died on April 23, 1616 the same day on which he was
