Fleetwood Mac is, without a doubt, a band unlike any other, even to this day. Originating in the 1960s, Fleetwood Mac started out as a small blues band in England. They would go on to produce numerous hit albums and it would only take them a matter of years before becoming one of the most successful bands in the whole entire world. Perhaps their enormous success was due to the fact that their on stage performances and songs mirrored the struggles and difficulties that many of the members were facing off stage. Nicks did not want to join the band just for the money despite how badly Buckingham and her needed it. She was only interested in joining the band if there was a way that both parties would benefit from it. After doing her research, Nicks reported back to Buckingham that she felt they’d be a very good fit for the band, and on New Year’s Eve of 1974, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks became the final members of Fleetwood Mac. Nicks was also making solo music, so the band did their best to try and incorporate her music as well. Despite their efforts, it was hard to integrate what everyone had done, resulting in a piece of work that was not very coherent. They called this album Say You Will.
In 2004 the band went on their Say You Will tour. Luckily, Buckingham and Nicks were on more level ground, and tensions were not as taut between the two of them. After this tour, the band took a break in order to catch up on their own individual projects.
Eight years after Christine McVie left Fleetwood Mac, the band looked at bringing in another female vocalist. The potential female vocalist they were looking at was none other than Sheryl Crow. The band was very torn on whether or not they should take her in, and in the end, the band just could not come to a consensus, and Sheryl Crow never became a part of Fleetwood Mac.
