The relevance of human trafficking to social work is very important. Social workers can be involved with human trafficking from the beginning from identifying victims of human trafficking all the way down to the prosecution and treatment of victims in human trafficking. Social workers need to be heavily trained in all aspects of human trafficking because a social worker could be talking to a victim and may not know it.
