There are numerous reasons citizens may believe hunting is wrong. Some believe hunting is bad because it is violent or because animals are defenseless. Others think hunters do not have an interest in the environment and are being selfish by hunting for sport. Does hunting involve more exercise than most outdoor activities? When hunting, a hunter is always walking through woods and is usually carrying heavy hunting equipment which benefits people with their exercise. Another reason hunting can help the needy or people who do not have a lot of food. Most hunters donate processed venison (deer meat) to the homeless shelters. The average hunter spends about $3,000 dollars per hunting season. When going hunting every hunter will need to buy a license which give him or her tags to harvest a deer. All hunting supplies that are used to harvest a deer like guns and ammunition get taxed at about 11 percent. A big economy impact is when tourists come into the country they will have to buy all licenses and supplies for hunting and to hunt the legal way. Most of the money that is spent on hunting equipment helps support the wildlife management programs. The nation gains about 61 billion dollars off of hunters around the world, and approximately 1.4 billion dollars is added to just the state tax revenue. Just in tourist coming into the country to hunt has made a total of 20 million per year which equals out to 200 million per decade. The money raised from hunters pays for 25 percent of the militaries payroll. Hunting has made 700,000 jobs become available to the country. “The purpose of the pittman robertson act was to provide funding for restoration of wild birds and mammals and to acquire, develop and manage their habitats” (CITE?). The Ppittman Rrobertson Aact has benefited the community 's in the world today by a long shot. This act has helped habitats development and statewide leases of land. Habitat development is a piece of land that is owned by the state which allows game wardens to help produce the animals and make environments a lot more healthy like planting more agricultural and more vegetation for animals to have more friendly environment. There is also a special specific wildlife area program that offers big pieces of landscape for animals that are going extinct and need to be brought back up to population standards.
