I went and read several other reviews on this story and the majority said that they loved this book. And another can be also added to that list, myself. I absolutely fell in love with this book. After getting a couple of chapters in, the story really started to pull me in. I would look at the clock and realize that I had been reading for over an hour when it felt like I had been reading for twenty minutes.
The Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen is a dynamic 16 year old girl character in the novel The Hunger Games, out of 13 districts she lives in panem in district 12 with her mother and little sister. What makes katniss a dynamic character is her loving,caring, and brave characteristics throughout the book. katniss is a loving character who loves her family and others and did whatever it took to keep them well.katniss knew she was strong and would do better than everyone else from district 12.“I could be shot on the daily basis for hunting, but the appetites of those in charge protect me” (p.17)For the love Katniss have, she sacrifices her life for the ones she love.katniss doesn't forget the good things that happened in her life.:”kind people have a way of working their way inside me and rooting there”. (p.49)katniss take in good things and it stays inside her, like the time when peeta gave her some bread when she was hungry, she remembered that moment for years.
Katniss Everdeen is the main character of the book, The Hunger Games, and a tribute from District 12. Grey eyed and olive skinned, she takes care of her mother and younger sister, Prim. Their mother was living through depression after her husband died in a mine explosion, giving responsibility up to Katniss. The sixteen year old would often find herself hunting (for food) with her close friend, Gale, although it was not allowed to the people of Panem. A major practice that Katniss inherits, and is known for, is the ability to hunt and her skills with the bow and arrow.

This fight is an annual event created for entertainment of the Capital, within the country of Panem. It was a gritty emotional book, and it totally fascinated me. Although, I loved this book, sometimes I thought the high school drama they were going through was a little over the top. Some scenes seemed like too much for real life. I love when you finish a book, and you know right away that you’re going to compare the next book you read. The characters jumped off the pages, they were so raw and honest; it was easy to picture them in real life.
The fictitious character I identify with is Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, is a teenage girl who exists in District 12, an impoverished coal-mining region in Panem. Her intensity is demonstrated by taking her sister’ place in the games becoming an act of selflessness. That is something I would do for family and near acquaintances. This helps support the book's theme of survival because without perseverance, Katniss would not have made it that far in the Games. She would have not at all been able to go home to Prim. One needs perseverance to survive, which is why the character trait conveys the theme of the story.
