Lastly Odysseus tricks the Cyclops by telling him his name is nobody, he did this to save his men’s lives.

Additionally, he was able to blind the Cyclops Polyphemus, which ended up freeing him and his crew. These clever actions truly do show how he is an epic hero who is admired for his intelligence. Some may say that Odysseus is not a true epic hero. They may argue that blinding enemies or using disguises are not the true actions of an epic hero.
