Yes, he did (although he really had only planned out about two things), he planned out about how much land he was going to claim for Spain. The other thing that Hernándo planned out, was how he was going to conquer the Aztecs. His plans were soon put into action during the year of 1518. A few days (after sending Hernándo Cortés and his crew to sea), the king decided to change his mind (he didn’t want Hernándo Cortés to claim land from Mexico), but Hernándo Cortés did not listen to what the king had told him. Hernando decided to not turn around (to go back to Spain), he just kept sailing towards Mexico. A few weeks later, Hernando Cortés, and his crew had landed in Mexico.
