Have you ever wondered how most of the reality t.v. stars have got their fame? It’s from acting stupid in front of a camera just to see if they can get fans from it. Reality tv shows can set bad examples for teens and younger because they look up to the reality stars and think of them as role model and will try to do the things they do. Most of the things they do are just staged and they actors won’t even actually do the challenge. The producers encourage the actor to make the challenge as dramatic as possible to attract viewers. Reality t.v is a bad influence to kids teens and those of all age because it leads them to believe doing bad can lead to fame and riches. One reason is the fact that young audiences such as teens aren’t viewing it as mindless entertainment they look up at the stars as role models and look up to them. They are easily influenced by what they see, and they see that bad behavior is rewarded. In paragraph Nine of Reality TV Shows: Harmless Entertainment or Bad Influence? It states that “the challenges the contestants face are admittedly not real. And even though the participants are not in any real danger, they are encouraged to create drama to thrill viewers.”. This just goes to show that the challenges that look so hard and leave viewers think how they did aren’t even real. They are just staged to make the viewers think that the actors in the show seem a lot more in danger then they really are. This is why we think that those actors are a lot stronger, smarter, and faster then they really are.
