Immature kids can be harassed by the online stranger and it can be dangerous because they never know when they can be found by the stranger. Strangers can say things that aren 't true and kids might believe it . Kids can get into accidents when they are on social media like crashing or even injuries when they are too distracted on social
When children use social media it causes controversy. Parents have mixed feelings on letting their children have social media accounts because it could either be used correctly or not. Children should not be allowed to have Social media accounts because social media has very mature content and it only persuades children to think wrong things are right and young children under 13 are not ready to see that. There are many different reasons why children should not have social media, for example Cyber bulling. Cyber bulling is a major problem with kids because they take everything so personal.
There may be some reasons why social media is good for kids, but all and all social media is dangerous to the well-being and education of minors. To start with, social media is dangerous to kids that are online because people can be anonymous, predators, and/or cyberbullies. Also, masking one 's identity on the internet make someone more likely to be a cyberbully (SIRS 1). Masking one’s identity can be a serious problem.
Many people think that minors who have access to social media are more involved in activities and have a better social life. However, those who do have access to social media often use it too much as a distraction, and do not focus on important things like school. Minors should not have access to social media because they are not at a mature age yet to be responsible and aware of what they are doing or what they have access to. When a person experiences something new they sometimes get too carried away with it and become addicted, because they enjoy it too much. There was an experiment done by a famous YouTuber where he would message kids on social media with their parents consent, and talk them into meeting up with him.
