A misfit is a person whom does not fit himself during the situation in which him/her are in. In a good man is hard to find in which the grandmother could be considered the “misfit” for the reasons in which the road trip that the family took went all wrong. In the beginning of the short story the grandmother wants to take the trip to Tennessee, meanwhile the family decided to go to Florida as a family road trip in which the misfit was located in. The grandmother is considered the misfit in this part of the story by not preventing or persuading them not to take the trip to Florida. This leads to a foreshadowing in which overcomes a car crash later on in the story. The grandmother goes all dressed in nicely clothing in which foreshadows incase found dead. Meanwhile in the road trip, she made her cat get scared in which provoked the accident. The considered real “misfit” saw them during the car crash in which leads to face off of the suspected murder. Nobody in the family notices that that’s the misfit in which saw all the incident and separated them from each other. Taking the cat into the road trip was an ironic thing that foreshadows how the grandma was willing not to leave the cat by himself yet at the end is the only one from the family that
