Now this is not ethical by all means and does break the rules of the NCAA but what it is not is criminal. Not only did Gurley receive a 4-matches suspension, the NCAA also added 40 hours of community service as punishment. This attached to his ruling makes it look like a criminal offence. It means that he generates the same number of negative headlines as someone who robs a store or beats up his girlfriend.
