Walmart is not good for America for a number of reasons. One of the biggest reasons is because of how powerful and influential it has become. The amount of influence Walmart has on corporations has become exponential and Walmart has become a force to be reckon with. Due the amount of power Walmart has, and how driven they are to ensure that they are buying the cheapest good quality products, they have driven countless businesses and corporations out of America. As a result, Walmart has driven a lot of jobs out of the nation. Some of these reasons why Walmart should cease to exist or only be given a limited amount of power over industry include taking jobs away from the American market, its effect on American businesses, and how they treat their employees. …show more content…

As a result, considering how much power Walmart possesses, it causes detrimental effects on American companies. Since they go the China to the majority of their products, it causes American companies to shut down from the lack of buyers. This is in part of the fact that American companies can’t compete with the rates the Chinese charge for goods. Therefore, the Chinese market as well as other foreign markets in Asia, benefit from Walmart’s services, juxtaposed American markets. Another way Walmart is harmful to American businesses is by manipulating them to get what they want and how much they want it for. Due to the size Walmart and its magnitude of power, as previously mentioned, once Walmart financially supports businesses and buy from them, they are forced to satisfy Walmart’s demands.
