When residents are asked this question, many find themselves conflicted. Walmart has the ability to provide consumers with many types of commodities and services. In fact, you can find anything from ant poison to zebra print socks all while getting your oil changed. They are able to do this with their superior purchasing power. “In 2016, Walmart operated a total of 11,528 stores throughout the world.” (Statista, 2016) Walmart can get that gizmo cheaper than “mom and pop” can. Your local hardware store is capable of selling you that length of cable but not be prepared to sell you the pepperoni pizza.
