Walt Disney is one of the most well-known names in the film industry. The company he built continues to make millions and take home Academy Awards more than fifty years after his death. How did Disney become so successful? While he was a hard worker, there were several hidden factors and special opportunities that made him so prosperous.
Walt Disney was called a racist, especially a white supremacist. The definition of “racist” is “a person who believes in racism, the doctrine thatone 's own racial group is superior or that aparticular racial group is inferior to the others.” (“Racist | Define Racist at Dictionary.com”) Walt Disney was an American, born in 1901 and he is known as “a pioneer of cartoon films and as the creator of Disneyland.” (“Walt Disney - Producer, Entrepreneur”)
Walt Disney 's first successful sound picture, Steamboat Wille featured his well known creation, Mickey Mouse. Mickey was first known as Mortimer and originally introduced in 1928 (Tames 26). "Disney 's last major success that was the motion picture Mary Poppins, which mixed live action and animation"(biography). His legacy has lasted very well over the years. After Disney 's death, his brother Roy, opened and finished the theme park which was named after Walt to be Walt Disney World.
Walter Elias Disney, or Walt Disney as many people are more familiar with, was born on December 5th, 1901. He was a great cartoonist who created many lovable characters such as Mickey Mouse and Cinderella. He made many contributions and become a inspiration to the world of animations as well as the real world. Disney was the founder of the world renowned animation company, Disney Incorporated. He was the father of “The Happiest Place on Earth” or, Disneyland.
They put him in several silent movies, but the movies failed so they made movies with Walt voicing Mickey and it was a huge hit. Eventually Walt would create many shows and characters which included Minnie mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck along with the shows Zorro and The Three Little Pigs. Walt also created a theme park called Walt Disney Land in Anaheim, California. Eventually he would begin construction on his second theme park Walt Disney world but he died before construction was complete. Walt Disney died in December of 1966 from lung cancer which he had been diagnosed with earlier that year.
It all started in Chicago, when he was a young boy he took an art class and when he was 18 he took the job a commercial illustrator. Later our beloved cartoon artist moved to California in the early 1920’s. There he and his brother, Roy, created Disney Brother Studios. Many say his success started when Mickey Mouse was created, which was in 1928.

It starts off by he was born into a family of five kids, he lived in Missouri when he was younger, and his family later moved to Kansas City. It said he was an ambulance driver in World War 1 and after he worked for Kansas City Film Ad Company. It said he started his own company after that which his first company fail but when he started his company with his brother in Hollywood it had succeeded.
Walt got the idea of Mickey Mouse from an actual pet mouse he had in Kansas City. Then Disney released Steamboat Willie and it became the most successful sound cartoon. Disney made a contract with Pat Powers at cinephone technology for the sound of Steamboat Willie. Like the New York distributor, Powers hired away all of Disney’s workers, including Iwerks. with five-hundred dollars borrowed from his uncle, Walt and his brother Roy set out on the ultimate adventure, and moved to Southern California to set up the Disney Bros. Studio. Walt also had a great drive to develop new innovations in animation. These innovations helped revolutionize the cartoon world.

Once production was set the people he was working with went behind his back, signed a contract without him and tried taking it from him, (Disney-History). That’s when he decided he was going to create a cartoon named Mickey, where they wouldn 't be able to take it from him. That’s where the cartoons really started to take off. Going through all that hard work and having to recreate something huge created a new path and adventure in his career.
What we see in the movie is not what we see in real life. So does Hollywood really represent every ethnicity and stereotypes that the majority of the viewers agrees with? Stereotype creates more harm than good because they can influence so many minds. Even though we might find it funny and laugh that their strong accents or their strange culture, traditions, many Americans believe that Asians have an easy face because they get the best jobs and cars, but even this is a stereotype because not all Asians are having the best jobs or cars. Some Asian have the same struggles that many other races, face living in America being whitewashed in Hollywood.
