Every person as a citizen in america has responsibilities to his or her country. Many people complain and gripe about the state our country is in today. How can you change anything if you do not pull your own weight and strive to make the country better? If you ask anyone nowadays “what do you think your responsibility to america is?” you will most likely get a blank stare or something about paying taxes. If Americans actually did their responsibility they might have a better answer to that. “Every citizen makes his country’s honor his own and cherishes it not only as precious but as sacred. He is willing to risk his life in its defense and is conscious that he gains protection while he gives it.” We have so many rights and freedoms in this great country the least we can do is give back and fullfill our obligations to it. If you ask someone today why do you not vote? 9 times out of 10 you will get the answer “my one vote wont really matter that much”. Actually your vote could change the outcome of the election! Excuses never did anything for anybody. If you have two legs that work and you can get to your precinct then you can vote it is as simple as that. “ Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people and the only way they could do this is by not voting.”Franklin D. Roosevelt. You have not only a right to vote but a responsibility to vote . So whether you support Trump or Hillary during this election or you think both of them are terrible candidates (like me) you still need to get out and vote. Your vote can change the legacy of this nation for future generations to see. The leader of this nation can change the future of our nation for years to come so we have to choose
