The holocaust is a very sad time, but not every person was bad one lady believed to be a good person is Miep Gies. Miep Gies was a very loving and caring person she managed to take care of all of the people living in the secret annex. Miep took the risk of taking care of the lives of the people in the annex even though there was a chance she could lose hers. She is very thoughtful and giving Anne Frank’s diary was saved because of Miep.

Miep ran the errand to get the food tools and supplies the people living in the secret annex needed. Miep is was the caretaker of the franks and other but she was also a very close friend.
The second reason Miep deserves to win the Memorial Medal Of Honor is because she took a very risky task of hiding the franks. Otto frank asked miep is she would take the risk of hiding them to protect their lives even though there was a chance she could lose hers. Miep took many risky task like smuggling food into the secret annex and getting cigars for people and other thing they wanted. Miep was putting her life In danger which show she is a true friend to the Frank's and she was very willing. Mien was the very willing helper and caretaker but she was also a very good friend.
Miep is a very thoughtful and giving person and this is a reason why Miep should win the Memorial Medal Of Honor. Miep is thoughtful because she kept Anne's diary safe while she was gone. Miep was also very giving she bought Anne a new pair of red heels for her to wear. Meip goes out of her way to do thing the Franks did not ask for and the things they did ask for.
