The quality of the food products has become an integral part of a consumer’s life. The concept of food has changed rapidly and there is an increased awareness about the health facet of the food. The food labeling has played an important role in providing information to consumers about safety and quality of the food. Food labels can be found on the package of a product which provides valuable information for consumers; the information is displayed on a table. Even though the food labeling is regulated by Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), these regulations about labeling foods as natural should be reinforcing to guide manufacturers so that consumers will not be at risk. Food labeling can be misleading and confusing consumers. Manufacturers should put a stop to this and simplify and makeover their labels for consumers. In this way it will help buyers to understand what they are eating and trust the manufacturers on what they are making. If more consumers find out what is really in the food they are eating and how food labels are not always accurate they will stop buying their food. A food labeled "all natural" can contain pesticides, herbicides, synthetic chemical vitamins, and other non-natural substances. A lot of consumers do not know that natural does not mean it is organic. Research has shown there is no official definition for "natural food", food producers and manufacturers have the authority to call anything natural.
