Why not pay College Athletes?
"Yes. Having to take care of my family, it would have made a difference if I'd have gotten paid," – Jadeveon Clowney current NFL Player
Collegiate athletes should be able to receive money from playing the sport. It doesn’t matter if the player is not as good as expected or going to be projected the number one athlete in the class. All that matters is each and every player when they go out to the field or court are always risking their lives on each play. When the athlete is already getting paid in college it can teach the players responsibility. They can set up fines for disobeying the rules set up by the coaches, and they can decide on a suspension for the player, just like in the NFL and all other professional athletes. If the player is good why not give them a little taste of what they will receive in the big leagues. The amount of money is based on the total income the school makes. Also the college athletes like in basketball for instance will leave after their first year to the NBA, therefore they can support their family.
