Eating With Walter Mitty After reading the short story “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” by James Thurber. I decided not to have dinner with Walter Mitty because of the following reasons. Walter is a character in the short story “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” were he just daydreams when things happen in real life that trigger those daydreams. I wouldn’t want to have dinner with him because he would just space out and not know what we would be talking about. I think he would be tiring because he wouldn’t listen and you would need to repeat the same things over and over. He just wouldn’t pay attention to the subject that we would be talking about.
