These pageants demean their participants instead of build them up. Girls should be honored for more than their pretty face and skinny body. Child Beauty Pageants should be banned. Beauty Pageants cause outward judgement and cost tons of money for Pageants. Beauty Pageants promote the idea that outward beauty should be valued more than anything else. Parents force toddlers to be sprayed tanned and wear high heels, which can be seen as borderline abusive (‘’The Ugly Truth’’). Dressing up toddlers or young women with lots of flair to make them look like grown ups robs them of their childhood.
