What’s so fun about kicking a ball and running around for 90 minutes? Why do players show off and over celebrate when they score a goal? Soccer, also known as fútbol, is the most popular sport in the world. Part of the reason being that it can be played anywhere, as long as you have a ball. A typical game is played with 22 players, 11 on each team. Okay, it can be played everywhere, but why do people find it entertaining? That’s simple, for me, a midfielder, I find the feeling of completing your goal or making a good contribution the best part of it. Confidence. That is extremely important while playing soccer because it makes a player believe in themselves to be able to do the amazing tricks and seemingly impossible skills. Gaining confidence, though, can be tough, but once you practice the drills over and over again and successfully execute it in a game, you feel unstoppable. When I was able to accomplish a move I was working on, in an actual game, I felt like I could do anything. I especially felt even more ecstatic when my parents and teammates told me that I did a great job. Feeling more confident and happy makes the game more fun and worth the time spent practicing. …show more content…

Luckily, when I’m playing, my mind is completely focused on the game and what the opponent’s or my next move is. I’m thinking of something else that distracts me from my worries. When I’ve finished, I feel relaxed and calm and ready to finish any leftover work without a lot of pressure to get it done in comparison to before. My mind is refreshed and cleared which makes me ready for whatever comes
