Hamlet was written by William Shakespeare, this book was based on a play that favorited the character Hamlet. In this play, Hamlet experienced an unfortunate loss of his father, King Hamlet. Throughout the play, Hamlet was informed that Claudius killed his father, which was also his brother. This situation had Hamlet set out to seek revenge, however incidents and his attitude caused Hamlet to act selfish, childish and Irresponsible, this unwillingness to take responsibility for his actions and attitude will be examined.

At the beginning of Hamlet, the unfortunate news of King Hamlet’s death was presented. This made Hamlet, confused and depressed without proper answers. Throughout the play, Hamlet was approached with news from his father’s ghost, that he was murdered by Claudius. Hamlet was instructed to seek revenge, as the play was slowly progressed, Claudius became suspicious to Hamlet’s current madness. Claudius instructed multiple people to spy on Hamlet, one in particular person was Polonius. Polonius was instructed to revel the reasoning for Hamlet’s madness, the betrayal from others made hamlet act selfish for his own wants. Claudius instantly wanted Hamlet shipped off to England to be murdered, Hamlet was aware of Claudius curiosity to his madness, this made Hamlet act childish when Claudius, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern came looking for Polonius body. Hamlet, when asked where he hide Polonius’s body, he reacted with a childish attitude with sarcasm. This attitude made Claudius furious, he instantly informed Hamlet that he was being shipped off to England.
