Importance of Louis Armstrong

Louis Armstrong is a very famous figure when it comes to Black history. Louis Armstrong was a very famous trumpeter. Louis also had nicknames, one being “Pops”.
Louis Armstrong was important to history and should be celebrated during Black history month because he was really important to the change of segregation. Louis Armstrong had a tough childhood. Louis was born in New Orleans in 1901. Shortly after Armstrong was born, his father left. Armstrong’s mother was just a teen when he was born. Armstrong played an important role in the 20th century’s most significant styles of jazz. Armstrong played in many bands which helped with his trumpet career. Armstrong's most significant protest was when he spoke against segregation in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1957. Armstrong’s protest played a substantial role in changing the laws of segregation. Louis Armstrong was a very important person to history because of his change in the laws of segragation. Louis Armstrong had many goals in life, one of those being to get on television. He achieved this goal on May 29, 1970 and made it on television. In the following year, he made it into the cinemas. Armstrong's career in trumpeting ended when he had a heart attack while sleeping in bed on July 6, 1971. I've learned many things about Louis Armstrong, he was a very active person. The most important thing Louis did was protest against segregation at Little Rock Arkansas in 1957. The thing that surprised me the most was the fact that he went to a juvenile detention center, and that is where he learned to play the trumpet.
