The Philae lander was very important. We learned and found out new thing in space. It took pictures and the Philae lander could find pieces of comets surface. The Philae lander was very important because it helped find out more about the solar system and comets. The Philae lander helped us find out more about the comet's surface. The Philae lander digged up pieces of the comet's surface so scientist were able to study it. “As soon as it landed, a 64 hour countdown began. When it ends, Philae’s on-board battery will run down. But Rosetta will continue to travel with 67P, sending information about the comet back to Earth for as long as it can” (Keady 7). The Philae lander makes it easier to study comets even with a limited amount of time.
