Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. They was then unified under a Communist government but remained impoverished and politically isolated. In order to understand the Vietnam war created many questions around the world. Was it a Nationalist or Communist Movement?, Why were we not more successful?, Why was it so unpopular? For the first question Vietnam and the United States have revealed that the Vietnam War served as an anti-communist war of America. Vietnam has a history as rich country and expression to other country to follow. (1) It is one of the least religious countries in the world(2), with 81.8 percent of the population holding no religious belief (3 )and Vietnam has a young population that is growing at a fast rate. (4) The Vietnamese, like the Koreans, found themselves borrowing from the Chinese to build their own countries and cultures on the periphery of Imperial China. (5)This meant that the Vietnamese have always had to convince themselves that they are not Chinese (6). The French colonial period was ruinous to the country and culminated in North Vietnam repelling the French and establishing Communist rule(7). It became part of French Indochina (8) and Vietnam want to be free and started fight after world war II . In the past the Vietnamese managed to fight off the invaders just as often to protect their people, Vietnam was ravaged and divided by civil wars in to section, firstly communist at the north of vietnam and secondly anti communist at the south of vietnam be the cause of Vietnam war.
