High school and college is the best time of students lives. This is the time when they know they are near the end of school and headed to the beginning of their future. High school “prepares” students for college. However they are not receiving the full package. High school students should be treated like college students because it prepares them for the real world. Students should be more encouraged to take AP classes. Taking AP classes would be beneficial to their future. “AP courses scores help students qualify for scholarships” ( “AP Classes: To take or not to Take”,). Scholarships are grants made to support student’s academics. Students can benefit even more from taking AP classes. However, schools have to provide more AP courses. Providing more AP courses gives students the opportunity to take advantage of their future. “ he or she can receive college course credits”(“AP Classes: To take or not to Take”). The more AP classes students take, the more college credits they can possibly receive. Also the more credits you receive, the less time you have to spend in college. Some college students only attend school for three days per week; attending school three days per week allows students to learn a lot more. It also limits teachers from having to cram in important lessons at the end of the year and not being able to cover certain lessons at all. “High school class time is six hours per day”, College class time is twelve hours per week” (“ Surviving College”). Twelve hours of school per week equals four courses of work for college students, whereas twelve hours of school for high school students equals two days of work for one lesson.
