Our local public library has come under criticism for allowing patrons under the ages of eighteen to check out books that are unacceptable. Some say that the books in the library are to graphic and have explicit content. They want to consider removing all questionable books from the library. My opinion on this situation is that some questionable books should be removed from the library. The library need to lessen the risk of exposing underage millennials or just children. There are certain explicit and graphic content that children do not need to be exposed to at a young age. The parents should have an opinion on what their child has access to. There could be a warning label that informs the child and their parents. This protects the child from unwanted exposure and limits their vulnerability to explicit content in books. The warning labels give the people who have access to the public library a chance to avoid the books that are questionable or books that a person uncomfortable with viewing. Some books in the local public library contain unpopular views that does not correspond or appeal to the more dominant minority. People have different opinions on their issues with banned books. The content of these books have or may contain explicit things and can cause a student's behavior to shift. Because of the content in these books it makes some parents and students question whether the books are acceptable. The appeals help the students gain an opinion and ideas. However, leaving these books in the local library allows a conflict of interest.
