However, many don’t want to drop out from their studies; they want a better education and better jobs that will pay them well. Not to have to work in a job that pays them low wages and to top it off still have to pay the loan they applied for to stay in college. It’s an everyday struggle young people go through every year just to stay in college to get their education. In the book On the Frontier of Adulthood Frank F. Furstenberg state that “More youth are extending education, living at home longer, and moving haltingly, or stopping altogether, along the stepping stones of adulthood.” Young people not reaching their adulthood, and still living at home to pursue, there dream of going to college.

They way that I see it is that everyone may not want to go to college because they already have a mindset on what they want to do. For instance, most students think they know what they want and what to do but they don’t realize that there are alternatives like taking a vocational program that is only two years which is less time to waste in college and you are able to work quicker after those two years, but the downfall is that you won’t get paid much
The newly changed law that high schoolers can’t skip college and go pro is thought to be changed in the future. The current law says that the athlete must be at least 19 years old to enter the league. Whether the law is for or against high schoolers going pro, it will change basketball at all levels. From peewee to pro it will all be different. Being able to succeed in the NBA without going to college is a big topic of controversy in the sports industry.
There are also some reasons why going to college may not be a good plan after high school. Some students might not have prepared well enough to go to college while they were in high school (www.blog.prepscholar.com). They may have scored low on the ACT which will lead to college costing too much. Some people wait too long to try to get financial aid and then have to come out of pocket to pay for it. If you do have to borrow money for college, the debt lasts a very long time.
There are also reasons why you should not dropout. One reason kids should not dropout is they may want to get into a good college. If you want to go to college you have to have your diploma or a GED. But some colleges may not accept people if they have a GED. And some jobs require highschool
Some students high school already know what they want to do before they graduate from college. This supports my claim why the dropout age shouldn’t be raised because some students already plan for there future before or at the age of 16. Some students don’t really care for college at all
However, some may argue that dropping out of high

Why People Should Not Go to College People should not go to college because is difficult to find out what career choice as a result of the inexperience and little information, the potential loans are overwhelming, and the huge necessity to start working immediately after school. In fact, many high school students go to college because it is expected of them, but that is not a good reason to go. If the students are facing pressure from their parents, friends, or teachers to attend college, but they do not feel ready. A person who wants to attend college should not take on such a large financial and time commitment just to please other people. College is expensive, and it does not make sense to spend money on a college degree if they are unsure of their path.
If one decides not to attend college, that person should reconsider, here are some reasons why a high school graduate should consider college as an option. Not going to college will leave you without a degree, leaving it will be a struggle when looking for a good job. High school graduates who decide not to go to college can go to a trade school or join the army to further their career as other options besides attending a University. With that being said what are some reasons to consider attending college? A college education is valuable because one can earn greater wealth, develop better social skills and most like have better health.
This would be an understandable reason to not continue college, but is very specific to certain people or families. Another personal case of why an individual would drop out is college is it is just not the right fit for their life. College does teach valuable life skills and provides an advanced education for those who need it, yet some professions do not require a degree. If a student is not getting valuable instruction for what they want to do, it would be the smart thing to back out and peruse an apprenticeship for example. Careers such as plumbing, welding, electricians, cosmetics, etc do not need a four-year degree.
