Abortion has been around for centuries. Before the practice of abortions there were no doctors , medicines or hospitals available. So it was very risky. Many women use to stick themselves with needles , stick hangers inside themselves or drink harmful chemicals or powder (OBOS,2016). Because of these techniques many women were dying or having injuries after or during the abortion process.
With almost half the nation divided among their views, abortion remains one of the most controversial topics in our society. Since Roe v. Wade, our views in society as well as following court cases have been progressing toward the woman’s right to choose. The precedent set by Roe v. Wade made the Supreme Court acknowledge that it cannot rule specifically when life begins and it also affirms that it is the woman’s right to have an abortion under the 14th Amendment. In the 1st Amendment, the Establishment Clause forbids the government from passing laws “which aid one religion, aid all religions, or prefer one religion over another”. Many Christian pro-lifers use their religious beliefs to dispute when life begins.

If a woman does not wish to carry a baby inside of her for nine months out of the year, she should not have to.
Teenage girl might get an abortion because she doesn’t want her parents to find out and college is an easier option. A woman who was raped and got pregnant might get an abortion because she doesn’t want to be reminded of it. Some might get an abortion simply because they can’t afford to have the baby and doesn’t want to bring a child into that kind of life. Others might get an abortion to cover up an affair. Since there are so many different reasons for having them people have different views on it.

Women have abortions for many reasons, some being that they are not ready for that kind of commitment or they have been raped and got pregnant. An abortion should never be an option in any case because it’s considered as murder, it causes pain to the person and baby during and after the procedure, and there are other choices to choose from including adoption.

It’s a cycle, a man sleeps around (or woman), gets impregnated and then gets abortions because they don’t feel like using birth control.
