The Olympic Games are the leading international biggest sporting event providing summer and winter sports competitions in which over thousands of athletes across the world participate in a mixed variety of competitions and sports. The Olympics are held every four years in one city or area and has over 200 nations competing within it. New Zealand started going to the Summer Olympics in 1908 and Winter Games in 1952. These Olympics where ever they are held around the world, New Zealand athletes always go and compete to represent our country. Think about the future and the impact that is going to do to your body. Amongst all of the different types of drugs going into your body is it worth the reputation of looking like a fool in front of others if you get found and tested positive for drugs it will forever be in your record and you will have to live with what everyone thinks and the past has been and there’s nothing you can change about that. A very famous cyclist Lance Armstrong has won the Tour de France seven consecutive times from 1999 to 2005, but was tested positive in 2012 and was stripped of all those 7 victories. Imagine if you knew you were cheating the whole time while competing, think about how disappointing it would be to find out your idol was drug cheating for 6 whole years. Evidence of him drug cheating was that he put the injections of drugs in coke cans at hotels and would then dispose of them. I personally think he was super sneaky and careful that he was not caught or found positive with the drug tests. Now all of this drug cheating has added up and he was caught finally, but is this what he wanted to happen because now he is punished from the sport for ever, no more titles and all that’s left of him is him and his
