The book I read was The Glass Castle. This book was written by Jeannette Walls. I chose this book because in eighth grade we read half of this book. I liked the book so I decide to read it to find out what happened.
Night is unforgettable there are many violated Universal human rights in the book. Elie Wiesel is the author of Night. “Night” is about Elies family being taken to a concentration camp, where they are separated along with the other Jews. Elie goes with his father while his sisters go with his mother. Elie faces many hardships at the concentration camps internally and externally.
I chose to write about “Night” because it is the book I have recently read and it is the book that has stuck to my head. Overall this book is about what pain, suffering, and depressing times Eliezer and his fellow jews were put through while Hitler was their dictator. No soul on this earth should have to go through what the jews had to go through ever
I think Night should stay on Mrs. Avila’s book report list because this is a book that more students need to read because Elie Wiesel and other holocaust survivor’s stories should be remembered so history won’t repeat itself. I didn’t like that Night left me with many questions, like did Eliezer ever completely restore his faith in God, what happened to his leg after undergoing an operation, why wasn’t his sisters and mother mentioned ever again, I also wanted to know if Eliezer ever has a bright light in the future. If you believe the world is all sunshine’s and rainbows, your whole view on life is about to change. Night opened my eyes, the world is not perfect. There is evil people in this world.
Night, the very title suggests a dark and horrifying story. It truly deserves that title, because of the dark story of Elie Wiesel’s life. He is relocated to a concentration camp from a very young age. He recounts his life before, the struggles he faced within the camp, his loss of faith, and his rescue by the American forces. Night deserves it’s title because of the darkness of Elie’s life, the darkness brought upon others, and as the Holocaust was one if not the darkest time in human history.
Night is written by Elie Wiesel and is about his time during the Holocaust. Elie’s family is sent to a concentration camp where he is seperated from his mother and sisters. He and his father stay alive for a while but eventually his father dies befor liberation. The role of the realtionship between father and son plays a big part in this novel.
Night is about Elie wiesel’s struggle through the holocaust from camp to camp. In Night Elie questions god’s ability and, at Elie’s lowest points, his existence. Elie goes through a journey no teenager should endure. He is faced with unbelievable cruelty at every turn, being beaten physically and mentally. Elie’s purpose for writing this book about his experience in the holocaust is to show how his faith was tested throughout the book and as a result it caused him to see god in a different light.
The Bridges at Toko-Ri The Bridges at Toko-Ri was a great novel, but it hit some rough spots along the way and it was hard for me to read this book at the beginning. The author, James. Michener, throws the reader into a random spot in the Korean War with no specific date or time. The novel was particularly good once I had gotten used to the author’s style choice of writing (detailed, but After reading this book, I have a better idea of how the men that lay down their lives every day feel when they are at war or are about to carry out an important mission. People overlook soldiers in the U.S. Military, seeing them as tough and intimidating men.
Hope is a powerful thing; more powerful than death itself. Night, by Elie Wiesel, is about a jewish boy who is put into a concentration camp during the Holocaust. Elie doubted his faith to survive but had others to lean on during the hardship. Elie had the support of others as a sense of hope to survive the long, cold nights, with little food and water.
The Night takes place in Europe during World War II, like Elie most families were became separated because of death, ghettos, and concentration camps all created by the Nazi party which was an organization which planned to completely erase the Jewish population. This greatly changes as they are forced into concentration camps and must survive together. Throughout the story it is discovered that family plays an important role in not just surviving but living too.
Night is a memoir that is told from a Holocaust survivor, Elie’s point of view. Elie describes the Holocaust as a life changing tragedy and his survival, a miracle. To follow it up, the narrator also mentions his survival is to tell others how the violation of Human Rights had impacted the lives of the Jewish people. The Germans had violated nearly all human rights the Jewish prisoners had, to the point where the prisoners lost faith in their religion and their belief in God.
In the novel Night the protagonist, Elie Wiesel, narrates his experiences as a young Jewish boy surviving the Holocaust. From the start of Elie Wiesel 's journey of the death camps, his beliefs of his own religion is fragile as he starts to lose his faith. Lastly, camaraderie is present as people in the camps are all surviving together to stay alive so as a result the people in the camp shine light on other people 's darkness.
Literacy Narrative Essay Well, there are many things that made me the reader and writer I am, only a few important events had huge impacts on me. Events such as; teachers constantly correcting my grammar, not being able to pronounce certain words, and a soccer injury that made me a pick up a book. These things helped me become the reader and writer I am. It gave me motivation, strength , and courage.
When words can jump off of a page and paint every scene on the canvas of my mind, I forget what is happening around me as I sink into the pages of the book and turn into the main characters of the story. These books are not just good books. They are great books. True (Sort of) is a brilliant masterpiece that made me laugh and cry, and almost everything in between. Delly is a troublemaker.
Books can be astonishing. Losing yourself in thousands of words is amazing. You get to escape reality. Books can have special impacts on people. Authors can write such strong and passionate texts.
