People are bad they do so many bad things. They steal and kill other people so that they get what they want. I believe that humans are bad because they kill and steal. William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies shows that humans are bad through killing one another. In the Lord of the Flies Simon is calling out to everyone saying that the beast is not real.
The Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, is a book where a group of boys end up stranded on a deserted island; leaving them to form their own society. Ralph goes through a significant transformation of his character throughout the story. He is portrayed as a mature leader, confident, and charismatic. However, Ralph’s experiences cause his character to become more complex. There were many challenges that Ralph faced in the novel.

Clashing Characteristics of Characters In the novel Lord of the Flies, Jack displays savage like qualities that exhibit his destructive motives as well depicting his character as inadequate. In the paragraph describing his forest the language used presents the scenery as primitive and alarming. Simon’s forest however, is described using imagery in order to portray beautiful scenery. His forest represents the calming and tranquil mood that he displays throughout the novel.
William Golding uses the theme that humans are naturally bad at heart, in the book Lord of the Flies to highlight that without the order and respect we choose to live our daily lives with our human nature will ultimately take us into chaos and savagery. Morals are what we choose to live by, this is what keeps us accountable. Morals do not appear overnight. Overtime they are ingrained throughout our childhood. Giving us a sense of right and wrong.

The story begins after a plane crash a group of schoolboys are left on an island. Two boys on the beach blow a conch shell to gather all of the boys on the island. There are both Choir and school boys on the island. A choir boy named Jack wants to be chief so all of the boys take a vote and Ralph is elected chief, because he blew the conch shell.

He first tried to write novels at the young age of twelve. With a lack of success, he became frustrated, bullying his peers. William attended Oxford University after completing primary school where he changed his focus from science to English Literature.

Although he fully intended to obtain a degree in the sciences, he turned his focus to literature. He first published poems in 1934, entitled Poems. He received his degree in 1935 and preceded to work in multiple theatre’s across London.
