William Shakespeare, indeed lived up to his words “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. “(Twelfth Night). He only a simple man who helps shape the English language and the man who inspired millions of people with his magnificent work of writing. To illustrate his greatness, we take it upon ourselves to look into his life, his work, and contribute to his society.
On April 26, 1564, given estimation on William Shakespeare from birth to the baptismal register of the Holy Trinity parish church, in Stratford. Shakespeare was the son of Mary and John Shakespeare who also had seven other children. Shakespeare was the eldest son of his family and had to be pulled him his education to help his father’s finance problems. Although Mary and John as parents fail at harsh times William pulled through it when he announced to his family that he met and impregnated twenty-six-year-old Anne Hathaway. Scholars would consider this time in his life the “lost years” in which he performed, wrote 38 plays, 154 sonnets, and two narrative poems. The plays consisted of Tragedies, Comedies, Histories. Whereas the sonnets were on the nature of love, sexual passion, procreation, death, and time. Then there were his two narrative poems which were on erotic themes to show the guilt and moral confusion that result from uncontrolled lust. With his great theater background lead to him becoming a shareholder in the Lord Chamberlain’s Men. In the 1599 a theater named the Globe was built by the Lord Chamberlain’s Men soon after Julius Caesar was one of the first plays performed there.
