Recognized by the world as one of the most influential writers of human history, William Shakespeare rightfully earns his title as the father of modern literature. Enriched with powerful persuasive language and articulate expressions of human ideology, his works have inspired scholars worldwide to restore them. Inspiration has brought about a myriad of reinterpretations of his works, promoting his fame through a continuously evolving industry of millions from people from around the globe. Although no official documentation of his birth was kept, the Holy Trinity Church of Stratford-upon- Avon have preserved records of his Baptism, April 26, 1564, and lead historians to announce his birthdate as April 23, 1564 (1 “William…”). During his early years, Shakespeare’s father, John Shakespeare held a title as chief alderman, which in turn, guaranteed him a seat in Stratford’s King’s New High School. As a result of the school’s rigorously demanding grammar course taught by university graduates of Oxford, his education laid the foundation necessary for Shakespeare’s writing career. But within the 1570s, his father faced detrimental financial issues through debt and economic recession which consequentially took Shakespeare away from school and prevented him from ever attending university. Despite this, on November 28, 1582, Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway and became the father of two daughters and a son, but wanting to continue his goal, Shakespeare persisted in pursuing his writing career in London.
