William Shakespeare is one of the most famous and influential authors in English literature. Only active as a writer for century, he wrote 38 plays, 154 sonnets and two amazing poems that reinvented and defined more so considered the greatest dramatist of all time. William Shakespeare was born April 24, 1564, which is that date that is is traditionally given for his birth. He was John and Elizabeth oldest surviving son. William had three younger brothers and two sisters who died at the age of seven. Being the son of a leading Stratford citizen, William attended grammar school in which his curriculum consisted of Latin classic, writing, acting classic Latin plays. Upon learning about William Shakespeare, I have come to an understanding in knowing how important he is in English Literature. William Shakespeare changed the world through his poems and dramatic plays, which covered all human emotions, portrayed conflicts and inspired works of literature by authors around the world. Shakespeare was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, on April 26, 1954. He wrote plays in four distinct groups: comedies, tragedies, histories and romances, which delved into the realm of human emotions, relationships and psychology. Factors that influenced William Shakespeare include the study of classical literature and London culture as well as the people he associated with throughout his lifetime.
