Shakespeare happens to be one of the most famous people that has ever lived, his name is familiar to almost every person in the English speaking world. Although Shakespeare was an extremely famous part of history he was also one of the biggest mysteries in history. He was known to be alive from 1562 to 1616. William Shakespeare is a mystery because his identity and even his appearance were hidden and are actually unknown by the world. But his words have lived on for centuries without a face to pin them to. He’s one of, if not, the most well known theater writers and dramatists in history but he also dabbled in other forms of writing. William Shakespeare wrote plays, sonnets, and poems. He wrote tragedies, comedies, and histories. In 1597, 15 of Shakespeare’s plays had been distributed for the public. Shakespeare had many famous works, mostly plays, including the early “Romeo and Juliet,” “Julius Caesar,” “Macbeth,” and “Hamlet.” Shakespeare is considered so important because Shakespeare produced approximately a thousand words into the English language. We use so much of the phrases he created, at least fifty percent, or even more, of the sentences we use are part of the language that William Shakespeare came up with. William Shakespeare is also very important and remains important because in our world today he has set the bar for modern plays and dramas, especially because he is one of the first well known writers to include prose in their writing. His influence upon young playwrights, poets, and dramatists is
